Over the weekend our campaign hit the national press with this article by Zoe Williams in the Guardian: Striking FE lecturers who worry about abandoning their students.

Student Rally Meet outside the Clapham Centre Thursday 19th June from 12.00 – 2.00pm

Saturday 21st June

People’s Assembly National Demonstration against austerity. Thousands will take to the streets to march against government cuts. Lambeth college will have a delegation.

Wednesday 25th June

UCU Head Office are holding a National Day of Action for Lambeth College.

Friday 27th June

Special conference – What is Further and Adult Education for? Lambeth College UCU and UNSION  invite you to attend a conference  to discuss how we can ensure that we protect and expand Further and Adult Education. Remember you can support the strike by:

  • Making a donation to our hardship fund: – we’ve raised over £10,000 so far and the donations keep rolling in – every little helps
  • Signing our petition here – like the hardship fund, it’s growing everyday
  • Coming down to the picket lines outside the Clapham, Brixton and Vauxhall campuses and saying Hello or stopping for a chat
  • Writing to the principal at msilverman@lambeth.ac.uk
  • Following us on Facebook and Twitter
  • Subscribing to this blog
  • Invite a speaker to your workplace – add a comment on this post and someone will get back to you to arrange.

    this is both a message of support from UCU -Cambridge Regional College (CRC) Branch – we are raising funds for you at the moment by asking for donations & pledges for UCU Build the Union mugs in the run up to the Day of Action on the 25th June so watch this space.
    I am also writing to ask if you have a speaker you could send along to our next Eastern & Home Counties Regional Committee meeting on the 12th July in Cambridge (11-2pm) . If that’s possible can you reply via my Email
